Advocates for Youth
A website aimed at providing information and creating programs for youth sponsored policies. Topics and Issues that Advocates for Youth focus on are abstinence and related issues (i.e. marriage, contraception, and sexual health), cultural competency, dating violence & child abuse, emergency contraception, parent-child communication, sex education and youth of color. Advocates for Youth is also responsible for initiatives which include HIV/STI prevention programs, support for GLBTQ youth, and International youth programs in Africa and South America . The website is also responsible for surveys targeted at youth and their concerns about pregnancy, knowledge of AIDS/STIs and various other issues affecting youth worldwide. AF TEENS a service of Streetcats Foundation for Youth, One Heart for Kids, National Children’s Coalition and Streetcats Youth Ministries join together to create web portals for African-American Teens.

Association of Community Organizations for Reform
ACORN is the nation's largest community organization of low- and moderate-income families, working together for social justice and stronger communities. ACORN's accomplishments include successful campaigns for better housing, schools, neighborhood safety, health care and work conditions.

Black AIDS Institute
The Black AIDS Institute supports policies dedicated to reducing HIV/AIDS health disparities within the black community. Some of the projects and programs include media campaigns, conferences on black male homosexuality, and African American women with AIDS/HIV empowerment. The website features useful articles about the AIDS epidemic on a national as well as a global scale.
Black College Student Network
This site is a black student network. It includes information on black colleges and universities, journal opportunities, and various issues of concern to African American Youth.
Black College Wire
Black College Wire is a news service established in 2002 to promote journalistic work of students at predominantly black colleges and universities and also links those young journalists to training and employment opportunities in the field. This site is a project of the Black College Communication Association, an organization for faculty members teaching journalism and mass communications at black colleges and universities.

Among the useful links on the site is a health page which focuses on health issues within the black community. The Health page has a cancer center, women’s health page, and Diabetes center among others. The Sexual health page provides links to ongoing projects concerning HIV/AIDS and STD relates issues within the black community.

Black excel provides information for black high school students and their families about the college process. It gives links to scholarships for minorities and comprehensive information about getting into colleges.

The Black History Society is an Ontario based organization that provides information about black history and research. It gives information to schools and students about education programming concerning black history.

The Black Youth Network provides sexual health information to black teens and forums for teens about pregnancy, abstinence and other related issues.
Black Youth Vote
This is a website that is aimed at empowering and engaging young people ages 18-35 build political power through civic participation in the political process. This organization does training in civic education, leadership, and campaign development, other tactics to influence public policy.
Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS)
CAPS conducts research on methods to prevent HIV infection and its consequences. They collaborate with other academic researchers, public health professionals and other organizations. The organization also contributes to local, national and international policy making concerning the HIV epidemic. The Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement conducts, collects, and funds research on the civic and political participation of young Americans. CIRCLE is based in the University of Maryland's School of Public Policy and is funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts and Carnegie Corporation of New York.

Illinois Caucus of Adolescent Health
The ICAH’s primary mission is “to promote a positive approach to adolescent sexual health and comprehensive support for young parents”. The Caucus provides support for youth leaders, develops policy analysis, advocates and trains youth and adults. The sexual health page provides information about LGBTQ health, sex education, drug use and other youth related issues. The Discrimination page discusses interactions between minority groups, and is a useful resource in dealing with discrimination.
National Study of Youth and Religion
The National Study of Youth and Religion supplies surveys and information about youths and adolescents and their thoughts on religion. The website provides links to statistics from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry and other religious organizations that deal with youth religious affiliations.

The National Organization of Concerned Black Men

The National Organization of Concerned Black Men Inc. (CBM) conducts “best practice” programs from the Nation’s Capital. The Organization’s programs include
- Peer Education and Reproductive Counseling (PERCY) - A teenage pregnancy program that helps preteen and teenage boys abstain from premature sex and to make wise, responsible choices in their lives.
- Educated Choices for Healthy Outcomes (ECHO) - An HIV/AIDS prevention project that provides young people with information on the spread of HIV and AIDS in an effort to encourage them to make safe and healthy sexual choices.
- Parent Self-Improvement Project - A basic education program for low-income parents to provide them with skills that will improve their opportunities for job training and employment.
- Substance Abuse Integration Project (SAP) - A substance abuse prevention program that provides young people with information on the risks associated with drugs and addictive behavior. Because a substance abuser is more likely to take sexual risks, this program integrates a substance abuse prevention message into our PERCY and ECHO projects.
- Saving Lives and Minds (SLAM) - An academic performance program with a particular focus on skills tested on the Stanford 9. In addition to tutoring, the program emphasizes school attendance and attitude.
